The student will be introduced to hazard identification and its management in the workplace. This course focuses on micro aspect of performance management. It discusses the concepts, principles and applications as well as issues of employee performance management in business organization. It assesses the dynamic roles of employee performance management system in moulding key organizational behaviours, specifically defining key aspects of performance, setting performance indicators, measuring and providing performance feedback in enabling proper alignment to the overall organizational vision, goals and objectives. In essence, this course provide the knowledge and skills that are needed in setting up an effective employee management system in an organization.

This course discusses theoretical and practical issues related to industrial relations. This course also aims to examine internal and external environmental factors that influence the relationship amongst participants, i.e. management, employees, trade unions and government and the relevant procedures within a work environment

PE241 BPMNK3123 KUMP A MANAGEMENT ETHICS

The purpose of this course is to help students understand and appreciate the importance of ethics and its effects on business, management and society. This course exposes students to universal ethical theories, principles and concepts to help enhance their moral reasoning skills. This will enable students to acquire skills for ethical decision-making, reason more effectively about the role of ethics in a complex global business environment and discuss ethical issues in business administration, management and society.

PE241 SBLFK2053 KUMP A MANDARIN II

This course aims to expose students to a variety of language structures in Mandarin. More emphasis will be placed on the Mandarin vocabulary and the meanings. Students are encouraged to adopt the formulaic everyday expressions in their oral communication. It uses basic language skills to achieve basic needs in personal and public domain.

PE241 SBLEK3033 KUMP A REPORT WRITING

This advanced-level course enables students to produce well-structured reports on complex topics in educational and occupational domains. Students are required to plan the process of writing reports and apply an appropriate level of formality while writing to develop sociolinguistic competence. Students will be exposed to source citations, data interpretation skills on complex diagrams, and cohesive writing. Besides, students will have the opportunities to redraft, backtrack, and self-correct throughout the process in order to produce good-quality reports.
