This course will discuss on a wide range of topics under the field of psychological testing and assessment in counselling. It covers topics on history of testing, the objectives, and the application of counselling assessments. Students will be introduced to psychometric components, validity, and reliability in testing, test norms, and standard and non-standard test in Malaysia as compare to the West. Students will be explained with ethical considerations in conducting, evaluating, and interpreting the psychological testing in Malaysian settings. In addition, this course will explain about the current issues in psychological testing including the topics of social and cultural issues as well as the moral and professional issues in counselling assessment.

This course covers the principles, models, design and application of database system. It begins with an introduction to databases and followed by other topics including data models, database design, relational data model, normalization, transaction management and recovery, concurrency and other issues related to database management. The module was designed to allow students to apply the knowledge of database system and design for developing a database system for organization.

This course is the core course for students of Masters of Science in Intelligent Systems (MSc. IS) and Masters of Science in Information Technology (MSc. IT). The course introduces students to Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques, languages and applications. It emphasizes on two major topics in AI, i.e. knowledge representation and search. Additional topics on several AI branches are studied, and experimental AI programs are developed. Social and ethical issues as well as future of AI are also discussed.

This course examines advanced issues in system analysis and design with an emphasis on various methodologies. Emphasis is placed on modelling complex business systems using CASE tool. This includes the techniques and tools used by software developers to plan, control, analyse, design, and manage in requirements modelling to produce high quality software. Management issues and strategies for designing software project are also discussed.

Kursus ini mempersiapkan pelajar untuk menghayati etika dan peradaban yang wujud dalam masyarakat kepelbagaian etnik di Malaysia untuk memperteguhkan pemikiran kritikal dan analitikal mereka bagi menangani kehidupan yang lebih mencabar. Pengisian kursus ini memfokuskan kepada penghayatan etika dan peradaban dalam acuan Malaysia. Pelajar akan didedahkan dengan dinamika konsep etika dan peradaban yang menjadi kekuatan kepada pembentukan negara Malaysia berdasarkan susur masa evolusi sejarahnya dari era pra-kolonial sehingga ke pasca-kolonial. Kefahaman tentang pembentukan etika dan peradaban dalam masyarakat kepelbagaian dibincangkan bagi meningkatkan penghayatan etika dan peradaban ke arah pemantapan kesepaduan nasional dan bangsa Malaysia. Peradaban acuan Malaysia perlu dikupas serta diperdebatkan dalam aktiviti akademik berpandukan Perlembagaan Persekutuan sebagai tapak integrasi dan wahana etika dan peradaban. Pembinaan kesepaduan nasional amat dipengaruhi oleh globalisasi dan perkembangan teknologi maklumat dan komunikasi yang kompleks. Oleh kerana itu, penghayatan etika dan peradaban menzahirkan perilaku tanggungjawab sosial dan digerakkan pada peringkat individu, keluarga, komuniti, masyarakat, dan negara. Justeru, perubahan yang berlaku dalam masyarakat dan pembangunan langsung ekonomi telah membawa cabaran baru dalam mengukuhkan kelestarian etika dan peradaban di Malaysia. Since sales and marketing play a vital role in any business entity, mastering the sales and marketing technique is indeed and edge to one. Throughout this course, lectures and discussions will be the primary medium in presenting sales and marketing concepts and theories in a way that the students would be able to comprehend and able to execute sales and marketing activities, especially in this industry.

Practicum plays an important role for the development of student career and this course is to provides a platform and expose students to the real working experience. Students will undergo an effective enhancement skills training in some selected organizations. Therefore, students can apply the theoretical concepts that learn in the class through on-job-training and participating with the external activities having by the organization. This platform also will encourage students to develop and enhance their interpersonal skills such as leadership skill, working in teamwork, problem solving and others. In this course, supervision and discussion will be the main medium for student to complete the practicum.

This course will provide a comprehensive theoretical and practical framework of tourism transport. Specifically, this course will focus on types of mode and emphasized the complex role of tourist selections of transport. In addition, emphasis is placed on the importance of management and marketing of tourist transport. Environmental sustainability and other relevant issues of critical factors such as low cost airlines will also be covered in this course via case studies and hands-on experiences.

This course aims to expose students to the concepts, issues and applications of sociological perspectives on event management. It is intended to develop in students an awareness of the sociological dimension of event management. The topics of discussion include social values, institutions and organisations that provide the social context of event management. The basic premise of the course is that in any social situation, especially in multicultural society such as in Malaysia, there may be many contestable issues surrounding an event because different ethnic groups may react differently to the staging of the particular event. A professional event manager must be able to gauge the acceptability of an event to the local public.
