A243 SGDP6033 KUMP B QUALITATIVE RESEARCH IN EDUCATION

The course aims to introduce students to qualitative studies in education and the social sciences that can produce vivid and richly detailed accounts of human experience. The research approaches to be addressed in this course are naturalistic participation, case studies, narrative reports, grounded theory studies, and phenomenological studies. The important steps in planning a qualitative research project, such as problem identification, formulation of research objectives and questions, planning for the inductive process of data collection and analysis, and triangulation of data are some of the major key components of qualitative research that will be focused thoroughly in this course.
