This course is essential to the maintenance of ethical intergrity and accountability of counsellor profession. This course will focus on discussion the meaning of code of ethics, ethical principles, ethical code requirements, and enforcement. In addition exposure to Act 580 Malaysian Counsellors will also be seen in detail. Topics to be discussed include the conduct of counsellors, private counselling restraint, research, publications and training, measurement, and evaluation. Code of ethics of the American Counselling Association (ACA) were also used for the purpose of understanding the code of ethics at the international level.
