This course will expose students to the importance of counselling and guidance services as support profession as well as a discipline in the conduct of human affairs. The course also describes the characteristics of an effective counselor, approaches and theories of guidance and counselling. In addition, ethical issues in counselling as well as multicultural counselling will also be discussed.
