In this practicum placement, students will be exposed to the real working environment. Throughout the practicum, students will be attached to any relevant organization preferably business and economics sectors. Students will be exposed to the aspects of working in a team work environment, giving presentation, soft and hard skills development, and understanding of an organization culture. Students will also be required to involve directly in executing the tasks assigned by the organization apart from accomplishing a practicum report in accordance with the guidelines determined by the College.

This course explains the the major types of Islamic financing products and their relevance in matching customer needs of Islamic financing. In this course, students will be guided to evaluate the creditworthiness of financing applications using qualitative and quantitative techniques of Islamic banking and finance. This course also discuss Islamic banks practices in relation to financing approval, monitoring, and problem financing management. Students will acquire better perspectives to apply critical thinking, problem solving and presentation skills to individual and/or group activities dealing with lending decisions and demonstrate in an individual summative assessment task the acquisition of a comprehensive understanding of credit anaylsis. In this course, students also will be equipped with the current issues pertaining to Islamic financing management.

Students will be exposed to the relevant standards, policies, regulations as well as operations related to the Islamic Accounting in the Accounting and Auditing organisation for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) and Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB). Zakat matters also will be addressed.

This course is exclusively designed to provide comprehensive and practical knowledge based on Islamic accounting. Students will be exposed to the relevant standards, policies, regulations as well as operations related to the Islamic Accounting in the Accounting and Auditing organisation for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) and Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB). This course is a comprehensive treatment on the contemporary application of the Islamic financial services industry. Both the theoretical underpinnings and the evolution of the industry will be reviewed in light of current issues confronting the industry in general as well as the various components of the Islamic financial services industry such as Islamic banking, Islamic non-bank financial institutions, and Islamic financial markets. Equipped with the quantitative and qualitative tools taught in the prerequisites courses, the students will be have the necessary tools to analyse these issues in a systematic and comprehensive approach.

This course is introduced to the students in order to broaden the knowledge field of business management from the Islamic perspective. This is in line with the application of business and economic systems that are increasingly leading to Islamic systems such as Islamic banking, Islamic insurance, Islamic pawnshops, Islamic business ethics, and others. It is also in line with the government's desire to introduce the basis of applying Islamic values by emphasizing the noble values among public and private employees. In line with this policy, the Islamic Business Theory and Practice course is expected to meet the growing human capital market for Islamic application systems and values. Students that attend this course will be exposed to Islamic principles related to business management principles which include the concept of Islam as ad-din, legal sources, basics of muamalat, Islamic economy and conventional, usury and business agreement, zakah of business, Islamic business ethics , the Islamic capital market, the principles of Islamic finance and management.
