This course emphasizes the basic concept of graphic and animations, two dimensions (2D), and three dimensions (3D). Students need to apply the modelling and animation techniques such as aid motion specification, sweeping, and extrusion from concept to digital production. Tools like camera, lighting, and surface editor are used for development of 2D and 3D graphic and animation.

This course focuses on desktop audio technology and production. Students are exposed to understanding basic features and forms of sound. Apart from that they also will learn of how various aspects of digital audio can be used to convey multimedia information including digital audio standard, compression and protocol. At the end of the course, students are expected to be able to develop digital audio applications.

This course focuses on the latest technology in WWW Programming. It caters both client-side scripts as well as server-side scripts. Students are exposed to various web programming scripting and methods to develop interactive Web pages with multimedia elements such as image, animated clips, audio, and video.

This course focuses on two significant aspects; network technologies and multimedia data and application. For the network technologies aspects, students will learn the essential characteristics and requirements of data communication and a network such as data communication protocol, communication media, network topologies, connection types, communication casting modes, and networking devices. Meanwhile, for the multimedia data and applications aspects, they will learn how multimedia data and application is used on the network and the requirements needed to have a good multimedia network. These include knowledge to support for the multimedia application, bandwidth requirements, transmission standards, data compression issues, and multimedia communication basic. Other issues discussed are multimedia LAN alternatives, content control, conferencing, information networks, and markets.
