This course is considered as one of the important courses for the preparation of graduates who are capable to write innovative program solutions using a computer programming language. The course introduces students to data structures and algorithms, graph, recursion, trees, searching, sorting and hashing. Students will be exposed to the calculation of run time performance using Big-Oh notations.

In this course student will understand the role of a project management, and how to set and manage client expectations, develop a list of key tasks, assign responsibilities, track progress and get progress updates. This course aims to provide the necessary skills and knowledge for undergraduate advanced IT students to be able to analyse activities involved to develop and implement an Information Strategy Planning (ISP) for an enterprise. The thrust of this course is to apply top-down planning, data modeling and process modeling to the enterprise so that implementation of its information strategy is aligned with the enterprise's business strategy

Topics of discussions would include basic cryptosystem, secure encryption system, protocols and practices in encryption, malicious code, operating system and database security, network security, administering security, and legal issues in computer security.
