This course exposes students to the basic approaches, theories of guidance and models for consultation in and outside the school. The course discusses the principles of guidance and consultation, characteristics of guidance`s teachers, core concepts of guidance theories and consultation`s skills for different populations. The course also establishes positive social skills and responsibilities.

This course exposes the students to the new knowledge on how to manage the classroom. It includes the learning of theories, philosophies and principals of becoming a class manager. The general purpose of this course is to strengthen students understanding of the relationships among classroom environment, classroom behaviour, and learning. Specifically, students will gain knowledge of disciplinary and management models and their relationships to degrees of teacher and student control. Activities, readings, childrens literature, discussions, and observations will focus on effective decision-making about classroom management and on developing alternatives for preventing and dealing with management and discipline problems.

Issues regarding teaching profession, teachers code of ethics, Standard Kualiti Pendidikan Malaysia Gelombang 2 (SKPMg2), and teachers responsibility towards their career will also be discussed. This course will also focus on basic details which bind teachers to their profession such as law and education regulations and regulations as public servants. Several public servants disciplinary cases and teachers negligence in doing their jobs will also be discussed. In addition, issues such as challenges and demands towards the teaching profession at present and in the future will also be emphasized.

This course discusses the themes that are related to traditions, political change and administration in the Malay Peninsular Sabah and Sarawak starting from the Era of Melaka Malay Sultanate until 1957. Students will be provided with knowledge that will enable them to understand the governing system, socio-economy of the society, political process and conflicts that erupted in the duration of the study. It comprises of changes in the traditional political system after the introduction of the British administration in the 19th century, and the emergence of nationalism and the establishment of a pluralistic society in the early 20th century. In the title of nationalism, aspects of Islamic reform (Youth), the development of communism and the emergence of political parties also debated.

This course aims to guide students to understand and enhance effective teaching skills in order to impart the contents of Malay Language subjects in secondary school. Students will be guided to identify and select the most appropriate teaching and learning strategy, plan teaching and learning activities and organize teaching resources in Malay Language education. Students will have to undergo micro teaching to showcase their teaching skills and analyse these skills clinically.

This course aims to guide students to understand and enhance effective teaching skills in order to impart the contents of Mathematics subjects in secondary school. Students will be guided to identify and select the most appropriate teaching and learning strategy, plan teaching and learning activities and organize teaching resources. Students will also be exposed to crucial management elements of computer laboratory and classroom with computers. Students will undergo micro teaching to showcase their teaching skills and analyse these skills clinically.

This course aims to introduce concept, theory, method and strategy of developing web-based teaching. Students will design and develop websites for the teaching and learning purposes. Students will integrate appropriate features and tools in the development of a convenient and good website for achieving or improving learning outcomes among target groups in schools.

This course aims to prepare students with basic understanding about philosophy, thinking and ethics or good conduct. This course also exposes students to the various aspects of thinking which will enable students to understand and evaluate problems they encounter in their daily lives. Besides, this course will show the various techniques used by humans when they think and reason in their daily lives. Ethical aspects and good moral will also be discussed to enable students to understand and compare Western ethical theories to Islamic ways of conduct while understanding the societys ethical practices in Malaysia. At the end of the course, students will know the role of thinking and ethics in the development of individual character and society.
