A231 SCCT1013 KUMP A INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT) AND SOCIETY
This course aims to expose students to the concept of ICT in society, both domestically and globally. This course will discuss the key concepts in ICT as well as the history and development of ICT. Students will learn about hardware, software, service and network involved in ICT. The discussion also focused on the convergence of media, computer and network security issues, application of ICT by the public as well as the advantages and disadvantages of ICT. ICT initiatives both domestically and globally will also be discussed. In addition, the discussion will focus on the impact of ICT on society. At the end of the course, students will be able to conclude that ICT has changed the life of society as a whole.
