Students undertaking practicum in International Affairs Management Program will be placed in an organization (employer) which analyses, formulates or implements policy in relation to political and socio-economic affairs at domestic or international level. The range of employer relevant to practicum is broad: from government departments, non-government organizations (including political party), international government and non-government organizations, multinational corporations, academic and analytical think tanks to even practicum under individual politicians. Students will be supervised and guided by supervisors within the program of study and also from within the organizations. Students will carry out analytical exercises of relevance to the organisations political and socio-economic affairs-related work. Students are expected to learn a great deal of knowledge pertaining to organizational management by engaging in the job tasks and responsibilities given by the employer. Students completing this course should expect to acquire significant insight into the complexities of political and socio-economic affairs and associated policy making and management activities.
