This course exposes students to the history, politics and government of Southeast Asia. It focuses on the historical background, political system and current issues in Southeast Asia. It shall further analyze the effectiveness of state and government in Southeast Asian countries. This course also compares political systems and governments and their likely changes from authoritarian to democracy in Southeast Asia states. Their discussion uses the multi-disciplinary approach especially in the aspects of politics, economy and social that shall be based on the context of politics in the region.
