In this course, students will examine the use of instructional systems design models to create instruction that is appropriate from a pedagogical and practical viewpoint. Emphasized will be theories and models to support the design of print-based, web-based, or multimedia-based instruction. Focus areas will include instructional strategies, media selection techniques, and formative evaluation strategies for designing instruction in a high-tech environment. Students in this course will acquire the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to provide leadership in the design and development of instructional materials for the Internet, print-based materials, multimedia, and other individualized instructional mediums. Students will be able to evaluate existing instruction both formatively and summatively to make well-informed decisions regarding modification to materials (formative) or to determine the value of existing materials for possible adoption (summative).

This course focuses on school management and supervision as an integral part of the whole process of educational management. It offers students an in-depth study of the various aspects of management and supervision of a school involving its physical resources, human resources (teachers, students, staffs and parents), and activities (teaching and learning), culture and organizational environmental characteristics. In addition, topics on principalship and school effectiveness are also discussed.

This will be integrated with the function involving implementation and strategic control. Strategic management process deals with 3 main levels, they are, formulation/understanding level, implementation, evaluation and strategic control. Such exposure enables students to understand, internalize and thus contribute to the organization strategic management process.

The aim of this course is to provide students with an understanding of the legal aspects pertaining to educational management particularly in Malaysia. Students are required to analyze certain provisions under the Education Act 1996, discuss selected rules; regulations and the penalties adhered to the provision of the education act and regulations It focuses on the rules, procedures and the legal aspects in relation to conduct and discipline at school management. Issues related to law of tort and negligence of teachers would be discussed based on court cases and current issues. The law of natural justice and procedure to take action on students discipline will also be discussed based on Malaysian education regulations and court cases. Students are required to propose action plan to implement the safe school concept and legal risk management at school to avoid teachers from being sued in court. Students are also required to understand and analyze teachers code of ethic and provision in the Public Service (Conduct and Discipline) Regulations, 1993 (Amendment 2002) in order to be a highly professional and ethical teacher.

This course provides students with the knowledge and skills needed in managing school accounts. It is to do with legal procedures and financial management and payment is received, the method of procurement. In addition, matters relating to internal and external auditing procedures are also discussed. Finally, students will be exposed to the responsibilities of school manager about cash book and the physical management of the school

Kursus ini mengandungi konsep-konsep moral and etika dan bagaimana ianya berkait dengan Pendidikan. Dalam kursus ini, konsep moral dan etika dipelajari dari tokoh-tokoh dari berbagai fahaman dan agama. Dengan demikian pelajar dapat mengetahui konsep moral dan etika dari perpektif yang berbeza dan seterusnya mengetahui bagaimana moral dan etika dihasilkan. Kursus ini juga membolehkan para pelajar menghayati dan menilai moral dan etika yang positif dan negatif. Dan akhirnya pelajar dapat menentukan moral dan etika yang harus diaplikasikan dalam pengajaran dan tugasan harian.

This course gives students exposure on the new curriculum of moral education introduced in Malaysia. This course will also examine the basic concepts of teaching moral education in schools and the history of the development of moral education in Malaysia. In addition, the course also discusses the content of moral syllabus in detail based on moral values in daily life. The trainee teachers who are in this course will be able to use the concept of teaching moral education to pupils at school more effectively.
