This course exposes the students to the basic concept of graphic design in terms of its philosophy and profession. Also, this course is an extended stage for students to gain the knowledge of graphic design.

This course is a compulsory component of the DBA program. In this course, students are required to undertake a consultancy assignment in any SMEs or large firms as a case study project. The businesses or firms will be chosen by the students themselves and the students are responsible to negotiate the details of the case study with the firms, resources and schedule any meetings. This case study project is an ideal opportunity and vehicle for integrating what the students have learned during the DBA program. The students should know how to apply these concepts and skills to a real problem solution. The students will also gain hand-on experience of undertaking consulting in an organization and this will enhance their academic understanding and practical skills of the consultancy process. This course is designed to introduce students the basic principles of good project management. Students will be exposed to techniques of managing projects from the early stages of the project life cycle through to the later stages which will include project initiation and selection, conflicts and negotiations, planning and risks, cost budgeting, monitoring and project termination. Important issues of project organisation, communication, documentation and team management are also covered. These learning objectives are reinforced by a course project that allows the student to apply the principles and use the tools they learned. Project management is increasingly provide new and innovative ways to plan, organise and implement transformation, change and development initiatives for organisations in dealing with the socio-economic realities of the country and to become part of a globalise world and economy.

Warehousing continue to play a critical roles in assuring high level of customer service and overall logistics performance. Efficient warehousing can minimize the effect of supply chain inefficiencies; can improve logistics accuracy and inventory management; can allow for product accumulation, consolidation and customization. This course will address customization and quantification; information technology in warehousing, warehouse performance analysis, the role of the warehouse in the supply chain, and warehouse expansion and contraction planning. The warehouse management course will integrate both global and e-commerce issues and examples.

This course course explores in greater depth financial reporting topics from the perspective of users of financial statements. The emphasis is given on developing sufficient understanding of the concepts, recording procedures, and presentation of financial items to enable students to interpret the financial statements in an informed manner. Financial reporting issues are discussed in terms of its effect on assessments of a firms profitability and risk. In addition, analytical tools and concepts are applied in credit and investment decision, cash analysis, and valuation analysis.

This course is designed to prepare students with the ability to evaluate companys subsidiary accounts and financial statement for taxation purposes. This will help them in applying the appropriate tax adjustments required for the difference between accounting and tax treatment to derive at the adjusted income. The course also helps to develop strategic thinking and decision making abilities of the students on the most appropriate audit technics to be applied in different audit situations. The accounting and tax treatment on contractors and developers are discussed to give an understanding of the recognition of income in these industries. Finally, the meaning of financial instrument and comparative methodologies in arms length principle in transfer pricing will give an understanding of solving audit cases in cross border transactions.

The purpose of the course is to lay the foundation for designing, evaluating and executing business research. It concentrates on basic considerations involving acquiring business research knowledge, thinking about and doing business research. Knowledge on basic research issues such as the philosophy of science, what makes inquiry scientific, developing research questions, theories, and research designs for both quantitative and qualitative research are discussed.

The pace of global, economic and technological development makes change an inevitable feature of organizational life. Conceptions of planned change will focus on several theories of change which describe activities that must take place to initiate and carry pout successful organizational change. The needs of developing proper attitudes and cognition to overcome resistance during implementation stage would also be emphasized. Students will gain understanding of the interrelationships of communicative behaviour and attitudes with organizational policies, politics, structures, culture and etc.
