This course will expose students to a basic of policy and planning in transportation. They will learn the concepts, history, theory and practical of planning policy as required for future development in transport organization. Upon completion of this course, students would be able to understand in preparing a proper policy, planning for public and organization related to the transport services, infrastructure and operations.

This course is designed to emphasize the use of information system in enhancing Transportation Management activities. The evolving dynamics of Information Technology (IT) and Information System (IS) requires management to be competitive especially involving speed and JIT. Using effective and efficient ways depended in highly coordinate IS.

This course provides an overview of the basic elements, roles, and terminology of rail transportation, including history, organizations, economics, infrastructure, train safety, and the operation and management of intermodal freight and rail passenger/transit transportation systems. Students will also be involved in discussions about current rail transport management and operations issues.

TThis course aims to expose students to overall issues and matters in the area of logistics and transportation management. To achieve this, discussions will touch on the contemporary issues of all modes and logistics management. It will also discuss on the techniques and procedures of problem solving, critical thinking and information management pertaining to logistics and transportation management field.

Synopsis: Warehousing continue to play a critical roles in assuring high level of customer service and overall logistics performance. Efficient warehousing can minimize the effect of supply chain inefficiencies; can improve logistics accuracy and inventory management; can allow for product accumulation, consolidation and customization. This course will address customization and quantification of warehouse management, information technology in warehousing, warehouse performance analysis, the role of the warehouse in the supply chain, quality aspect in managing warehouse and warehouse expansion and contraction planning. The warehouse management course will integrate both global and e-commerce issues and examples.

This course is a core major unit for Bachelor of Marketing students. The course provides a comprehensive understanding of the scope and impact of consumer behavior, consumer analysis, consumer and marketing, consumer decision process, learning role, analysis criteria, attitudes and attitudes changes, problem recognition process, and current and future issues on consumer behavior. This course also discusses methods and techniques of consumer behavior measurements that could be applied to marketing strategy.

This course discuses most aspects related to the activities of the sales management that must be managed by a sales manager, such as planning, implementing and controlling of programs developed for sales force. Students will be exposed to discuss on various sales activities and sales management strategies. Discussions include the understanding of professional salesmanship concept and function, strategic role of every sale function, sales force selection, effective team development, sales force management and supervisions, sales force performance evaluation and effectiveness.

This course will discuss about Industrial marketing (or business to business marketing) is the marketing of goods and services by one business to another. Business (or industrial) organisations include manufacturing companies, government undertakings, private sector organisations, educational institutions, hospitals, distributors and dealers. Industrial goods are those an industry uses to produce an end product from one or more raw materials. The topics will include basic industrial marketing, buyer behaviour, developing and strengthening of relationships with clients, collecting and analyses of information, market segmentation, developing marketing mix for industrial markets, performance and control of the marketing mix.

This course will give an exposure to the students about the concept, theory related models to the service marketing. The purpose of the course is to provide students with an overview of key strategic concepts and distinctive management issues in modern service(s) management and marketing. The course is designed the prepare students to become an exclusive executive in service organization and it focus more on the dimensions of service marketing. Lectures and discussion will be focused on the relationship between the consumer and service provider and its complexity in managing them. Aspects of relationship marketing and the new servicedominant logic of marketing will also be covered. The underlying processes (particularly those in which customers are actively involved) will be discussed in order for students to run a service business that is both efficient and user friendly.
