This course is a continuation of the course Construction Technology (BJTC 2023). This course discusses in-depth technology within the context of construction materials, methods and equipment. Emphasis will be given to construction nationwide involving concrete and asphalt. Innovation and advanced construction methods, especially in building construction awarded. Method of construction of civil engineering structures such as roads, bridges, tunnels and dams will be also discussed. Attention is also given to the aspects of testing and quality control, damage and repairs and maintenance.

This course covers the basics of electricity, quantity and unit of electricity, generation, transmission and distribution of electricity, sources of electricity, electromagnetic, electrical circuits, electrical circuit components, introduction to semiconductors, electronic components, measurement electronics, electronic communication technology, microprocessors and programs, applications of electronic technology.

This course will discuss and down the revolution in science and technology since the beginning of human civilization. This course provides an opportunity for students to know and be able to describe the actual components in technology and technological capabilities as a basis for measuring the technology. In this course also discusses issues of ethics and responsibility in engineering.

This course discuss further concepts and theories in technology management where it is required in understanding, anticipating, acquiring and technology implementing to achieve competitive advantage in global market. This course discusses the third and fourth level in technology management framework which is technology requirement level (policy technology) and technology method level (strategy technology).

This course aims to provide exposure to the concepts and theories of management of technology and innovation. It will discuss in detail about management of technology including the evolution of that concept. This course also will discuss about innovation management where it is needed in understanding, anticipating, acquiring and implementing technology to achieve a competitive advantage in the globalized market. The two strategies of obtaining technology will be discussed in detail namely internal strategy (internal innovation) and external strategy (alliances, mergers and acquisitions).

This course discusses the basic concepts in decision and strategic technology planning. The approach is based on formulating and implementing corporate strategy: analyse, select, and manage strategically. The course will also look at the influences of technological change from a different perspective and also integrates business and technology strategies

This course requires final semester students of the Bachelor of Technology Management to carry out a project under the supervision of lecturers to be determined later.

The purpose of this coursework is to give exposure on the latest technical methods in manufacturing industry. This will provide understanding to students on the materials and materials quality, equipments and processes used in manufacturing. Likewise, students are expected to understand the relation between methods and equipments with manufacturing productivity.
