A233 SQQS6013 KUMP A Research Methods

This course exposes students to research and its philosophy which provides a better understanding of research and applications in the real world. Among the topics to be discussed are fundamentals of research, research problem, literature review, proposal, and research writing. The major part of this course focuses on methods of research such as Qualitative Research Methods, Surveys, Experimental Studies, and Observational Studies. Format of writing and its style, critique of research articles, and reference manager software are also highlighted to support students in preparing a research proposal. At the end of this course, students are required to present a complete research proposal based on a real-world problem.
