The aim of this course is to provide students with an understanding of the importance of instructional leadership and the function of principal as supervisor for teachers. It also focuses on the concepts of instructional leadership and its relationship to climate for learning and teacher efficacy. Issues related to staff development, classroom supervision and assessing students learning, the role of principal as instructional leader and its impact on student learning and achievement will also be discussed.
