A232 SSWA1053 KUMP B FUNDAMENTALS OF SOCIAL WORK PRACTICE
This course introduces students to the practice of social work as a profession. Among the aspects that will be covered include an introduction to the philosophy, goals and functions of social workers. Basic social work skills and the function of social workers in providing social services will also be discussed. This course explains the processes involved in social work practice and discusses social work values and ethical issues. Focus will be placed upon solving problems using several therapeutic approaches and methodologies in social work practices.
