This course discusses various aspects of labor economics from the perspective of microeconomics and macroeconomics. The microeconomic part focuses on the aspects of labor demand and labor supply, wage determination and allocation of resources in the market as well as issues related to the labor market. The macroeconomic part covers the aspects of labor productivity, employment level and unemployment. Students are also exposed to a discussion on the labor market from the perception and situations of Malaysia.
