This course is designed to broaden and deepen students knowledge in tourism foundation subject area that is of concern to practitioner. The course will enable the students to develop thinking ability as well as acquiring tourism knowledge through evaluating and explaining current issues critically. Students will also be able to utilise knowledge accumulated from earlier courses and develop frameworks to discuss and evaluate current issues surrounding tourism. Class time focuses primarily on the assigned readings and tasks. The development of effective communication skills, both written and oral will be emphasized through class discussions and written assignments.
