This course explains the conceptual and practical aspects of risk management and takaful. This course also seeks to provide exposure for students to analyze and examine risk management in takaful from the perspective of Shariah objectives. The students will develop an understanding of the differences between conventional insurance and takaful. Various takaful products will also be discussed along with the issues relating to the development of the takaful industry.
