This course aims to give an overview to the students about the history of economic thought before and after 1900. The discussion will cover the biography of economist and their economic theories. The main focus in this course is divided into five parts, namely the historical background that led to the emergence of each school, major tenets of each school, community groups that benefit from the emergence of each school, the relevance of each schools in its time and their economic ideas that have stood the test of time.
