This course is about the interaction between the market and the government  in theory and practise. In general, the course expose students to principles, methods and implementation of government policy in regulating business activities in a free market economy. It examines how government policy response to market failures, monopoly and market power through the implementation of competition law and regulation, analyzing issues in terms of implementation and relevant policy prescription.
