The Research Project emphasizes on fieldwork, library search, experimental investigation as well as case study research. In practise, the course is conducted simultaneously with Correctional Practicum. Students are expected to discuss with potential research supervisors their proposed projects. Next, students are requested to prepare a research proposal that includes brief explanations of Chapter 1, 2 and 3. The completed report should be of about 10,000 words in length using the APA format of writing citations.

KS221 SSYX5996 KUMP A CASE MANAGEMENT IN CORRECTIONAL SCIENCES
This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to apply concepts and theories learnt from the core courses throughout the course of their Correctional Programme. Under academic supervision, students will conduct interventions with clients (individual and group session) to assist the students to assimilate and reintegrate into the community. In addition, students will be trained to provide and manage reporting of cases. Case management at correctional institutions is stipulated for 10 weeks duration which carries 6 credit hours.
