This course helps students to prepare effectively for the range of writing tasks they will encounter in the M.Ed / M.Sc.Ed. programme. The course will enhance students’ knowledge of the essential principles and practices of research-based writing in Education, including genre and audience awareness, language and style, self-editing and documentation. Throughout the course, they are expected to analyse and critique writing samples. They will also apply skills such as organizing, paraphrasing, synthesizing, justifying and supporting ideas in their own writing.
